It opens at 10am, but we will meet at 1015am (Location TBD).
Location for Pets in the Park is Buena Vista Park, Adjacent to Laurier Park by the zoo. This is a fun event with with a canine agility course set up to try, dog spa, pet friendly beer garden, and vendors including two vet clinics will be there. The vendors offer freebies to take home also. There is also entertainment, and a walk/run fundraiser. Come and join us at 1015 at this fun event. Bring water for you and your dogs, a chair if you like, lunch if you like, a variety of food trucks will be there also and even a Starbucks booth.

All SSFC members are cordially invited to a pre-Christmas social for you, your shelties and a guest if you wish.
For family memberships, bring the whole family! December is so busy, we thought we’d beat the rush. Plan to
come at 1 pm & help yourself to lunch. Please bring a Christmas treat (cookies/squares/dessert) to share
and be entered in the contest. Bring a crate or ex-pen so you can eat in peace. There are some chairs but bring
one with you in case it is needed. We’ll have little treat bags for the dogs as well! To add to the fun, both you and
your pooch can dress Christmassy. We will have door prizes, prizes for best dressed dog and owner, best trick
(start training) and best Christmas treat.
As a special treat our own Kelly Morris, who is a judge and teacher of scent detection, has
agreed to do a demo for our club. A great opportunity to learn about this sport.
So that we can plan for food, etc. please RSVP by Sunday, November 1, noting the number
of people and dogs coming, and if you are bringing a dessert. It’s always a lot of fun and we
really hope to see you there!
